What this policy covers

This policy applies to the MathPuzzlr website and the MathPuzzlr iPhone app. MathPuzzlr is a product by Kin Lab.

No account, no backend

MathPuzzlr does not require or offer sign-in of any kind. There is no MathPuzzlr server that stores your puzzle history, your stats, or your usage. There is no backend at all. Your Daily results, streak, archive progress, and Puzzle Lab progress are stored locally on your device.

iCloud sync between your own devices

If you are signed into iCloud on your device, your locally stored results, streak history, and Puzzle Lab progress can sync between your own devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. This sync is handled entirely by Apple, on your iCloud account. MathPuzzlr never has access to this data, does not run any server that receives it, and cannot see it.

Information we do collect

MathPuzzlr uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous product analytics. Only four signals are ever sent:

• The app was launched.
• A puzzle was finished, including whether it was won and how many guesses it took, never the equation or any puzzle content.
• The Pro paywall was shown.
• A purchase was completed.

None of these signals include your name, email address, any device identifier, or any puzzle or equation content. This analytics collection does not use advertising identifiers and does not require App Tracking Transparency.

If you contact support, we receive whatever you include in that email, such as your email address, device details, and the message itself.

No ads

MathPuzzlr shows no advertising and includes no ad network SDK. No advertising data is collected.

Payments

MathPuzzlr Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Restore Purchases is supported.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The only outside parties involved in running MathPuzzlr are Apple (for StoreKit purchases and iCloud sync of your own local data) and TelemetryDeck (for the anonymous signals listed above). We may disclose limited information where required by law or to protect users, Kin Lab, or the public.

Your choices

You can turn off iCloud sync for MathPuzzlr at any time in your device's iCloud settings; your results stay local to that device. Removing the app removes everything MathPuzzlr stored locally.

Children

MathPuzzlr is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. No data is collected by MathPuzzlr that could identify a player, adult or child.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as MathPuzzlr evolves. The latest version will always be published at this URL with the revised date.
